Erynn Marshall

Erynn Marshall is a well-known old-time fiddler, both in North America and abroad. She was the first woman, as well as the first person from outside the U.S., to win first place in fiddle at the Appalachian Stringband Festival (Clifftop) in West Virginia.   She has taught at music camps in the US, Canada and England.  Erynn is author of Music in the Air Somewhere, a book on West Virginia fiddle and song traditions, has filmed an instructional DVD and recorded four CDs with the Haints.  Erynn lives in Galax, Virginia, where she teaches and performs with the Bowbenders and with her husband, Carl Jones.
