Mandolin Camp North Beginner Package Drawing

Win a beginner mandolin, a $200 gift voucher for 2020, and a spot in one of our beginner tracks!

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 6 p.m., February 28, 2020

A generous camper has donated a mandolin to camp.  In hopes of encouraging someone to try mandolin, we’ll be giving away the instrument along with a $200 gift voucher toward the cost of this year’s Mandolin Camp North. Here’s your extra incentive to try something new!  Entering the drawing is free.

The mandolin is a 1972 Harmony, model H8017, made in U.S.A., and comes with a chipboard case. The mandolin received a setup in 2019 from Vermont luthier Tucker Barrett. To get you started we’ll include a strap, tuner, pick, and set of strings.

The deadline for applications is 6 p.m. on February 28, 2020. A winner will be drawn and notified by email that evening.

The drawing is free to enter and you don’t need to be registered for camp at the time you enter, but if you win you must register for, and attend, Mandolin Camp North, April 17-19, 2020, to receive the mandolin. You must choose one of the all-weekend registration options. The winner will receive the mandolin at the start of camp on Friday, April 17.

Entrants must be 16 years of age or older. Campers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who also must register for camp. We’ll send the winner a discount code worth $200 to enter at the time of registration. Any parent or guardian must register and pay the full price. (We do have lower prices for campers who don’t play an instrument. See this page for prices and registration options.)

The winner may give the mandolin and gift voucher to another person, but that person must attend camp as described above.

We also suggest, but don’t require, that the winner participate in one of our beginner mandolin tracks — sets of classes designed for people just starting out. Visit this page for more information on tracks.

By entering the drawing, you agree to let us announce your name on our website,, and on our Mandolin Camp North Facebook page.
