Claudine Langille
Mandolin
Claudine Langille was a pioneer playing lead mandolin in the Irish/Appalachian fusion band Touchstone, whose two albums, The New Land and Jealousy, received Indie Awards in the early 1980s. She currently lives in Vermont and plays tenor banjo with the Celtic band Gypsy Reel. She has taught at Swannanoa Gathering, March Mandolin Camp, has been featured on NPR’s Thistle and Shamrock and Hazel the Delta Rambler’s radio shows, and has played at Lunenburg Folk Harbour Fest and Celtic Coulours in Nova Scotia, and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland. She teaches at Connecticut Academy of Irish Music and privately.
