Ken started his musical journey playing Bass in middle school orchestra. After graduating high school he worked part time as an electric bass player for several Southern New England Country Bands. Ken would be fill in musicians with a NY entertainment manager and back up touring artists at Indian Ranch in MA. Switching to an R&B band The Young Bucks he also got to back up artists in the Providence music scene. The Tony Rice Unit gave him the bluegrass bug and never turned back. Recording back up Banjo tracks on a Grammy nominated “Dust Bowl & Yellow Trailer albums” he then caught the studio recording bug! Spending decades programming software for a Robotics Company, the new technology DAW in recording studios was a new passion. He built and opened South Shore Recording Labs as an affordable option for recording local Bluegrass and Acoustic music in Southern Rhode Island.
